    Currituck Beach Lighthouse

    		Standing 158 feet above the dunes, the CUrrituck Beach Lighthouse was built in 1875. Unusual for the area, this lighthouse remained unpainted and continues to boast a natural brick appearance. The lighthouse is open to climbing, weather permitting, from Easter through American Thanksgiving.
